An Interview with Suchi Natarajan
In civilian words, how would you describe your job?
I work on providing technical and design solutions to the marketing team here at Ethyca! I primarily develop the brand website, but I also assist in configuring marketing tools, organizing campaign systems, and maintaining Ethyca’s Knowledge Base.
What are you working on right now that you’re most excited about?
I’m excited to be working on some cultural initiatives that I hope will bring our team closer and let the world know how great it is to work here!
In addition to making our website function and look great, we also know that you have the most amazing pet at home (hi Quincy!) and you’re an avid gamer. But what is your superpower that we might not know about yet?
I’m somewhat of the event organizer of my friends. I’m always coordinating nights out (or in nowadays!), and I have a curated list of over 200 bars and restaurants throughout the city to go to at any moment’s notice.
Oh, I love that! That means you have a good grasp of cool spots and good food all over the place, right? I can’t wait to see when we will be able to enjoy any of it, freely, again.
My only worry is that many of the places on the list may not have survived the pandemic!
Fingers crossed for all businesses making it happen these days, truly! On that note, what lessons, if any, have you learned during the pandemic?
Twitter is probably harder to quit than caffeine – not that I’ve succeeded at either.
Now, we’re about a year deep in the Zoom world. Who would you like to have a 30-minute meeting with? It could be with anyone in the world.
Oh, that’s a hard one! I’d probably choose Angela Davis. I think her perspective would be both valuable and somewhat comforting, given the times we live in.
Since you’ve mentioned Angela Davis, what’s a cause you care about?
I care a lot about access to healthcare and righting unjust systems in general. I donate monthly to Planned Parenthood and the ACLU to help defend those rights!
